I like Firefox except for one not very small problem. When I bookmark links, it sometimes scrambles them, and isn't always easy to sort out. For someone who relies on those links being where I put then, and being called by the names I gave them, that's a biggie! Still, it's better than being hacked by so Russian Maffioso, or Ahmed the Ghoul in Regurgistan.
This is why I run a linux based operating system. I also only surf the web in Firefox. You CAN buy a P/C without any windows programs. They are soooooooo much cheaper! Windows elements are THE most expensive part of a new P/C. Check out "Ubuntu". You can download and run from a "burned image" on a disk, and see if you like it. Just remember that when operating from a disk, it limits what you can do, and you cannot "save" anything. It WILL, however, show you that linux is very much like windows to a casual user, and should not be difficult to run on your P/C. You will not have to worry about many of the threats circulating on the net. It's GREAT!
If you're still an IE user, I would recommend downloading Firefox immediately. ThreatLevel has more.
