Best. Idea. Ever: 'This way to San Francisco!'

Considering California's prevalent sanctuary cities -- and a proposed boycott of Arizona by San Francisco -- HillBuzz asks a wonderful question: What if conservatives put up billboards in Arizona, Texas, New Mexico, and Nevada pointing the way to San Francisco for illegal aliens?.

So I took a crack at illustrating the idea and added free shuttle buses to boot.

Come to think of it, we could do some signs for New York City as well. That idiot Bloomberg (the dopey Mayor, not the news service) is on record as decrying borders and enforcement of federal immigration law, stating, "This is not good for the country. I don't agree with it... We love immigrants here."

We love legal immigrants in Arizona and the rest of the U.S. But we can't selectively enforce some laws and not others -- lest we find most Americans ignoring other laws, like the feds' takeover of medicine, for instance.

HillBuzz has the scoop.

I tried this for a bit but didn't have your mad skilz. But billboard headline should be:

“San Francisco (sea seguro usar las flores en su pelo)”

Doug,

Excellent idea! Spanish is not my native language, but I'm not 100% sure that "de esta manera" is what you mean by "this way."

"Manera" means way, as in the song, "My Way," method, manner.

"Way" in the sense of direction, path, would more likely be "el camino," the pathway. This is the term that was used for the pilgrimage to Santiago de Campostela, for example, "El Camino de Santiago." {Off topic, but the Saint is also known as Santiago Matamoros.} Mexican signs use "camino" for road.

You sign would be something like, "Bienvenidos a todos los immigrantes indocumentados! El camino a San Francisco -- ciudad refugio - es aqui!"

...But change the map so that it points right back to the Rio Grande; how the hell are they gonna know the difference anyway...

Reminds me of the Chinese waiter who used to ask for and take orders IN PERFECT YIDDISH, the language of most of the customers of the New York Deli, Mindy's. When somebody asked Mindy, the owner, how come a Chinaman spoke such good Yiddish, Mindy grinned and said: "Shhh. HE THINKS IT'S ENGLISH!"
Let them believe they are going to SF while the bus carrying a load of happy happy campers heads back to Tijuana!
OOOh you people are sssooo cruuueel!

Punditarian is correct. The sign reads, "in this manner to San Francisco." The "San Francisco manner" might be an awful shock to those who actually make it. . .
