YOU WILL BE MADE TO CARE: Ted Cruz and the Totalitarian LGBT Left Edition

"You will be made to care." --Erick Erickson

Senator and Presidential contender Ted Cruz recently attended a dinner party hosted by Ian Reisner and Mati Weiderpass, two gay businessmen who own the Out Hotel on West 42nd Street. The pair's interest in Cruz related to global security issues: they discussed ISIS, Israel, and the rise of radical Islam worldwide. That would be the same radical Islam that hangs, beheads and throws gays off rooftops.

Many in the intolerant, totalitarian LGBT community reacted with outrage. Heaven forbid anyone in the gay community worry about national security, free enterprise, and any topic other than gay rights.

Social media exploded with death threats and organized boycotts. Reisner and Weiderpass were forced to beg for forgiveness; the former issued an apology on Facebook, stating “I am shaken to my bones by the emails, texts, postings and phone calls of the past few days. I made a terrible mistake."

In describing the dinner and the subsequent interview with Reisner and Weiderpass, New York Magazine's Carl Swanson used biased language and outright literary fraud to assail the one man (Cruz) prepared to defend the rights of all Americans, irrespective of race, creed, color, ethnicity or background. That is, the one person running for president who is a Constitutional conservative.

Here's the language Swanson used:

• "...the vehemently conservative Texas senator..." ("Vehemently conservative"? Has Swanson ever described, say, Barack Obama as "Vehemently socialist"?)

• "...Cruz is very much against [gay marriage], but danced around the subject that night by stressing the idea that he considered it a states’ rights issue..." (Cruz, as a Constitutionalist, has always advocated for the 10th Amendment; which is to say, there is no gay rights clause in the Constitution. Which means, those rights are reserved to the states -- or the people)

• "Reisner and Weiderpass became the prominent gay businessmen running prominent gay businesses who then, inexplicably, cozied up to the right wing" (As opposed to cozying up to the "left wing")

• "...he was proud of how he’d pressed Cruz to admit he’d love his daughter, even if she were gay..."

What really happened: ...I said to him, I noticed that you only took one phone call the entire night. You know, when you have politicians they’re always on their BlackBerries or sending text messages and stuff. No one took a phone call. He took one; it was for his 7-year-old daughter. So I said that to him and I said, so what would happen if your daughter turned out to be a lesbian? And he said, I would love her just the same...

What really happened: He said Peter Thiel [the prominent openly gay and openly libertarian Silicon Valley investor] was his friend of 20 years before Peter was rich and before he was famous, and Peter gave a million dollars to his campaign and then another million — this must be three or four years ago...

What really happened: Besides the business aspect, for me the horrible part is the abundance of communications in all forms. Letters, calls, texts, emails, Facebook notifications, and postings. Like, hate. The hate against us is so strong, for me, it literally makes me weep. That there’s a vast group of gay folks in America that don’t know what I have done for the gay cause, consistently for decades, and now think I’m anti-gay. There’s such a massive divide between the reality of what we do, did and do, and their limited thinking of what we do because of a few facts and a few headlines...

Many in the LGBT community are intolerant totalitarians.

They are far more intolerant than the "vehemently conservative" right wing, who exclude no one from their message of freedom, private property rights, and unlimited opportunity.
